Hey guys, my name is Devan.
Those who've known me, know that I've been through quite the year with my health. And unfortunately, I've been caught in a really tough place financially because of it. I have exhausted every option and possibility that I could trying to pay my medical bills, but still see no way out on my own. One of the hardest things for me to do is ask for help, but I pray that this vulnerability will bring hope, not just to me, but maybe some of you.
WHAT'S GOING ON
I have a thing called "chronic intractable migraines" that I've been suffering with for the last few years. In September of 2015 I was let go because of my health. Over the last year, my doctors and I have found that one of the largest reasons for my migraines are in result of my neck. I have suffered from chronic neck pain much of my life, and to a debilitating point over the last two years. In 2016 alone, I have been hospitalized for 10+ days, undergone 6 sugeries, and multiple procedures to help bring my migraines down, and help stop my chronic neck pain. I'm on my way to better health, but I need your help.
WHERE IT ALL BEGAN
The day I lost my job, I found myself on a street corner in Chicago drinking a beer and eating a burger in lawn chairs with a homeless man, who would later become my friend, Smitty (pictured below). God showed up in a huge way that day for the both of us, and I wanted to share how He turned it from one of the worst days of my life, to one of the most hopeful in this video.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
