Logan Kowalski #Logan Strong
As most of you reading this have heard, Logan was diagnosed will All B Leukemia. It all started with a sinus infection around Thanksgiving, which led to an allergic reaction to Amoxicillin, then led to mono like symptoms. After multiple doctors visits and getting nowhere, they
took Logan to Cardinal Glennon ER. They were hoping to hear a bad
case of mono. Never ever this word, that changed their lives in an instant. The "C" word.
A bone marrow retrieval, spinal fluids removed, a pick line added and chemo started, all before he came out of the anesthetic. With minutes to process and tell Alyssa and Logan what their new world would be.
Logan is now in Cardinal Glennon for the next 30 days to undergo treatments. Visitors are limited to immediate family only. They can't take any chances of Logan getting a cold. Germ free environment.
This is a 2 1/2 year journey that they will be going on. One for sure not planned or wanted. If any family can handle it, your reading about them.
Jenn took a leave of absence from her job at Rogers and Hollands to stay with Logan 24/7.
Anyone that knows this family, knows they love with their whole heart. Jenn has volunteered for over 8 years at the soup kitchen in Cottage Hill. If you are unable to donate money, which trust me I understand, maybe your time, to help at the soup kitchen.
Frank will continue to work full time and be home with Alyssa before and after school, trying to keep things as "normal" as possible.
I know the second they read this they will say, "oh no there are many
people worse off than we are." Right now these are my people, my family, only because they don't have a choice, they live next to my sister. I want to take all this pain away but I cant. My way of helping is trying to help offset a huge financial burden on my family.
Any donation is accepted is with a thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
