The Deutschland Stipendium is a scholarship program that supports talented students at universities and colleges across Germany. This unique scholarship provides students with a living expenses stipend of 300 euro per month, helping them successfully overcome obstacles in their personal and educational journeys and fosters connections between academia and society.

How is the Deutschland Stipendium Funded?

The funding for the scholarship is modelled after the principle of public-private partnership where half the scholarship is funded by donations made by private sponsors which can include individuals, businesses, foundations and alumni and the other half is financed by the Federal Government.

Funding is for the full 12 months of the MLB Program.

Who is eligible?

International and domestic students alike are eligible. The criterion for selection includes academic achievement, social engagement, personal achievement such as a student overcoming challenges in their social or family background and extracurricular activities.

Why is it important?

The MLB Program is a diverse, unique, and international program with students coming from all over the world to study in Hamburg. We believe that financial constraints should not prevent anyone from participating in the MLB Program and we know how important a monthly stipend is.

We are aiming to raise funds of €1800 to give a student the chance to come to Hamburg to study in the MLB Program. This will enable them to enjoy the enriching experience of studying in an international program, gain global perspectives and meet new friends from all over the world.
