Logline:

When the car of a group of friends breaks down during a camping road trip, they reluctantly pick-up a mysterious hitchhiker who challenges their trust and forces them to confront their own fears and prejudices.

We are looking for your help funding the student short-film "Deus Ex Machina", written and directed by Mariia Moroz and produced by Maxim Bunea-Jivanescu. Any sorts of donations are appreciated or even any form of distribution with a friend, co-worker or family member might significantly help us.

The message of the film is important, as it captures how discomfort, silence, and unexpected connection between strangers can reveal the quiet ways we seek understanding. How these moments of inconvenience and chance (like a broken-down car or a stranger you meet on the road) can unexpectedly force people to confront themselves and each other.

All funds will be used towards production purposes. Such purposes would entail food and transport for the cast and crew composed mainly of IADT students. Moreover, it would include necessities such as props and costume for the production, including the possibility of renting a car.
