I am from Detroit and have lived there my whole live, I own Boost 1 Marketing and have been blessed to be able to work in Detroit and in Houston the past 4 years! I have a condo here in downtown Houston and I've been here the past two weeks for work. I was originally scheduled to fly home to Michigan today (Monday, August 28), however, my flight has been canelled and rescheduled three times, I am not sure when I will be able to leave Houston.
While we have horrific snow storms and bad weather in Michigan and throughout the midwest, I have never seen something like Hurricane Harvey and the effect it's had on a city!
People are leaving their homes with only the clothes on their back, unable to take any of ther belongings or treasured items from their home with them. Some people are sleeping on their rooftops to survive as they attempt to save their children and families from this horrific storm.
Many of my Detroit friends, companies and clients have reached out asking how they can help so while in Houston, I'm putting things into action! Thanks to my team and my good friend Dante Dasaro, owner of Dante Dasaro Photography who have stepped up this Saturday #Detroit2Houston will be taking place!
The #Detroit2Houston event will be held SATURDAY, September 2 in the parking lot of the Airtime Trampoline & Game Park in Troy, Michigan (662 E. Big Beaver Rd) from 9am-4pm.
Greater Grace Temple (Rogell Golf Course Parking Lot)
18601 Berg Rd at 7 Mile Rd.
We need the following items:
BACKPACKS stuffed with toiletries!
Toiletries - Tooth paste, Tooth brushes. body soap, shampoo, lotion, brushes, combs
Diapers and baby wipes - anything for babies
Stick lighters/Glow sticks
Small First Aid Kits

If you want to help and cannot come bring the needed goods to our event, please feel free to donate any money you can and this will be used to get the supplies here to Texas along with any extra money going ot the Houston Flood Relief Fund, which I have worked with in the past.
We will use EVERY dollar to help people directly in the community in hopes of getting them necessary supplies to survive and get back on their feet.
Please comment below if you have any questions I'm happy to give updates and of course get any help we can for the people of Houston!
Thank you Detroit for getting together to help those in need across the country!
