In May 2018, I was diagnosed with Invasive Ductal Carcinoma Stage I Grade 2. While my prognosis is good - the circumstances surrounding my diagnosis are challenging. I have no health insurance. 

I'm 38 years old, I have two beautiful children: my daughter Widalys 19 is in Arizona studying and Omar 16 is a great kid with a huge heart... I have an amazing husband who survived an accident in December. 

The truth is, I never thought illness could strike, little did I know I'd be facing a life or death illness that can spread if not treated timely. I don't qualify for assistance and cannot afford surgery on my own. I need a bilateral mastectomy. 

I never thought I'd need a handout, never imagined I would need to ask for help, but here I am... 

My husband and I have paid all my office visits and procedures, including mammogram, ultrasound, lab work, biopsy, MRI, x-rays, genetic testing, etc. up to now... while still trying to keep afloat with our regular bills like our mortgage. While we've managed so far, the cost of surgery is just out of reach for us at this time... any help is truly appreciated.
