On February 12th, 2019 Detective Simonsen was tragically killed by friendly fire when he responded to a Robbery in progress in Queens, New York. Brian (Smiles) was an amazing friend who touched everyone who knew him. He was a loving husband, and a dogged Detective. He leaves behind his wife Leanne, his mother Linda, and Grandfather Vern. We are requesting donations for Brian's family to help relieve financial stress during this extremely difficult time.
