Biba Cancer Research Foundation  is a memorial not-for-profit organization. We research with the aim of discovering early cancer detection biomarkers and strategies to improve patient survival outcomes for brain and other hard-to-treat cancers.



Biba  (Areeba) was a beloved daughter, sister, wife and mother of three. She was an avid reader, an aspiring writer whom we lost at the tender age of 30 to a rare, advanced form of brain cancer,  leptomeningeal carcinomatosis. The last few years of her life were marked by her struggle with several occurrences of cancer, the last one of which she succumbed to, when it metastasized to her brain, and spread to her entire central nervous system. 

This research foundation is in her cherished memory to improve survival of those that suffer from a similar affliction as she once did. Hard-to-treat cancers have over 70% fatality rates, often detected too late for timely treatment and medical intervention. 

This campaign is to fund research into investigating cancer biology for relevant biomarkers to enable early detection of cancer for timely treatment.
