Destroyed Home From Tornados Jan 16, 2022

We are Maggie Pucci & Linda Bambi a recently retired couple who decided to settle back in South Florida for our retirement just a few months ago. Just as we had begun settling into retirement, we lost our home to the tornadoes that ripped through our community , The Tropicana on Sunday Jan 16th 2022 in Fort Myers , FL. Our home was deemed unlivable and will have to be completely leveled.

 

We are a proud hard working grounded couple who never ask for help and have a hard time doing so but our loss is horrific ! We have lost our home as well as one of our vehicles. The costs are mounting and we will soon deplete our entire savings we had for retirement. We will also soon be forced to go back to work just to afford to pay our bills let alone try to replenish any lost retirement money we had set aside. We will be paying for this event for years and years to come !

 

This is an extremely difficult time for us and we pray no one ever has to go through something as terrible as this. We thank God everyday for sparing us and those that were affected by the storms and are mindful of how tragic it could have been as we rummage through our lives and belongings tearfully piecing it back together one treasured personal effect at a time.

 

We thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts for all those that have rallied around us and continue to do so.
