Destroy Dementia

My Mum would have turned 75 this year - she should have had years left to enjoy her retirement after working so hard all her life. Instead she got diagnosed with frontotemporal dementia 3 years ago and passed away last June.

Her torture was short which is what she would have wanted - some have to suffer for years.

There are lots of amazing dementia charities out there but this year I am putting all my focus on raising money for @alzheimersresearchuk because only a cure will make things better.

I’m writing songs again after 15 years of writers block. Just back from the 'Secret Coast Songwriters" retreat where I met 12 new best friends/beautiful people and they have brought the joy back into music for me.

I've written a song for my mum which is poignant but also joyful and thanks to my new friends I really like it and think its quite good!!
