We are heartbroken by the death of K-9 “Destro”, who passed away following a very short battle with cancer. Destro developed health concerns earlier in the week and passed away Friday Oct. 5, 2018 at the Cornell University Companion Hospital with his handler, Deputy Christopher Erion, by his side.

Destro, an 8-year old German Shepherd, joined the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office in August 2013.

To honor Destro's memory we are fundraising to support the Genesee County K9 program, which is run largely on generous public donations.

We greatly appreciate any monetary donation you would like to make to support this very valuable program.  Your donation will go towards the purchase and maintenance of a new K-9, in addition to initial and continual training for both the K-9 and his handler.

All donations go directly to the Genesee County Sheriff's Office K-9 Fund.
