Destiny Stacy African Missions Trip
Donation protected
As I have deepened my relationship with God over the past two years, I have felt an intense desire to work in medical missions. I am just about to complete my first year of nursing school, so I am one step closer to fulfilling a dream that I believe God has given me.
Recently, I heard about my church going on a mission’s trip to Burkina Faso, Africa. My heart jumped inside of me. I couldn't get it out of my mind. I tried to reason it away, telling God I couldn't go to Africa, I'm a single mom and in college, it's impossible. The feeling never went away. I felt God might be opening a door for me to take my first mission’s trip so that I might see first-hand the needs of the people of Africa and see how God would speak to me while on the mission’s trip. Then two weeks ago, I learned that one last opening had become available for the trip. I was telling my mom all the reasons why I couldn't go. She asked me just one question in a text,”Does God want you to go?" I replied, "Yes". And we committed to the trip.
I got my passport today, will get my shots next week and my Visa after that. Burkina Faso is in West Africa and is one of the poorest countries in the world, and also one of the most illiterate. Forty-seven percent of the population is 14 years old or younger. We will be working in a kid’s camp and a nutrition center, distributing food to starving families through MANNA Worldwide Ministries.Tonight, I'm writing my story to see if maybe God would speak to you about being a part of this mission through your financial support. I know you probably get requests all the time to help people, so all I am asking is that you say a quick prayer and see if God might say yes to you. I have to raise $3,275 by June 10th. My trip is June 19-28. Any amount of money, $20, $50, $100 or any other amount will help me to reach my goal. Donations in the form of a check can be made payable to Abundant Life Church and write ‘Destiny Stacy – Burkina Faso’ in the memo. Please mail to me at 2412 SW Winterbond Court, Lee’s Summit, MO 64081. Of course, all donations are tax deductible. If you prefer giving online click here: Destiny Missions Support for our church’s secure online giving. If you don’t want a tax deduction, you can give on this GoFundMe page. Any help you can give will be appreciated so much and will encourage my faith to know that God is directing my steps. God doesn't need everyone to go to other nations as missionaries, but I believe he does put people in our life who will help those that feel called to minister to those that are less fortunate, even in Burkina Faso.
Would you go with me to Burkina Faso and support me? If you are unable to give financially, I really do understand. I just ask that you would pray for me while I am gone and remember to say a prayer for Dezmond also. He'll be staying with Nana and Papa (might want to say a prayer for them too). :) Thank you for reading my story. I am thankful you are in my life in some way.
