Destiny’s Legacy: Caring for Zayla

It is with a heavy heart that I write this, as Destiny—my sweet granddaughter—has left us far too soon. She fought a brave battle with Lupis. She and Zayla and recently moved to New Mexico from Colorado to be with her mom Sarah and sister Nevaeh. Despite her illness, Destiny greeted each day with a smile and poured her heart into caring for her loved ones amd animals. She was a devoted mother to her 4-year-old daughter, Zayla, and a bright light in all of our lives.

Destiny was raised with love and guidance by me, her grandma. Destiny was a strong, compassionate woman we all adored. Shr had such a beautiful contagious laugh. Destiny leaves behind her beautiful daughter, Zayla, as well as her boyfriend Jorge, her sister Nevaeh, cousins, friends, and animals and the rest of her grieving family. Though Destiny is no longer with us, her love and kindness continue to live on in all of us, especially in Zayla.

As we face this unimaginable loss, we are turning to our friends, family, and community for help. Our focus now is on giving Zayla the love and stability she needs while honoring Destiny’s legacy. Any support, whether a donation or simply sharing this page, will help us with:
