Destiny was at work going about her nightly routine as if it was going to be another normal night. A co-worker was on break looking through Facebook Live when they came across a video of a local house on fire. They quickly turned, showing other co-workers the burning home. Destiny turned and caught a glimpse of the video; it only took a swift second before she realized it was her own childhood home everyone was watching engulfed in flames. Destiny bolted from work to tend to the situation. Her mother, who was asleep inside during the fire, was taken to the hospital to treat her injuries.

Unfortunately, once everything settled from that night, the house she grew up in was a total loss. Furniture, clothing, dishes, and all the cherished times inside the house were reduced to water, smoke, and fire damaged belongings. Destiny's niece, who also lives with them, was staying over at a friend's house and was not home the night of the fire.

Destiny's family is currently living out of hotels awaiting the fire report, as well as approval to move into a new place, unsure if insurance is going to cover their tragedy.

Destiny is still showing up to work every day with a contagious smile on her face, spreading laughter and joy as she fights through everything that's happened.
