Many children who visit Destiny Community School in the compound Matero of Zambia’s capital city Lusaka come from poor families. Their families struggle to pay the costs of educating their children. Therefore the children stay home and work to contribute financially towards the family’s support.

We, as a school, believe in the power of education to change the destiny of these children and we strive to provide a chance for education for the most vulnerable children of our community. With a child sponsorship, you remove all the major financial barriers that arise with a school visit and allow these children to be educated and have a chance to break the cycle of poverty through education.

Use of Funds

The sponsorship of $25 per month covers the school fees, uniform, exercise books and costs for a lunch meal for one student.
