UPDATE:

Destiny’s Story
She was diagnosed with a rare cancer called T-cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia at the age of 26 in July of 2023 and she was 17 weeks pregnant with her second child. She has had over 10 bone marrow biopsy’s, and spinal taps, 2 liver biopsy’s and multiples stays in OSU hospital throughout. Chemo is not working, she had a bone marrow transplant in May 2024 but she relapsed in January of this year. She now needs a second bone marrow transplant but has to wait to get it as she is too weak from the chemo right now. She is traveling often to OSU for appointments, she will also have to stay up there for 100 days after the transplant away from her home and kids.

Hello,

I am setting up this for one of my very Best Friends, Destiny Perkins. In July Destiny was diagnosed with T cell lymphoblastic lymphoma (leukemia). It’s a very rare diagnosis. It’s been earth shaking for Destiny and Matt as Destiny is also currently 20 weeks pregnant with their second baby boy, Cooper.

Des is currently admitted The James Cancer Hospital at OSU in Columbus where she will be undergoing treatment. Start on Friday she will be starting chemotherapy for 14 weeks until baby Coop is born and then will be having to proceed with a more intensive chemo after baby comes. She will be remaining at The James Cancer Hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy and the remainder of this year.

As we know this is a difficult time for everyone, but this has really put a wrench on Destiny and Matt financially, as they will be losing an income in their home. Their baby boy Nolan will be starting school this fall as well. If you find it in your hearts to give whatever you feel lead to, anything is very appreciated. While financials are very important, they will also need all the prayers you can offer up as well!

Please let’s unite in prayer for healing over my sweet dear friend, to beat cancer and get home to her babies!

Thank you!❤️
