Help Destin Run Like All The Other Kids
Donation protected
Hi, this is Phillip and Nataly and we are the proud parents of Destin. We have a family of 6 with one on the way due June 5th. We have been blessed with being accepted to have surgery for Destin to help with his Cerebral Palsy. He was born prematurely and diagnosed with Cerebral Palsy and hip Dysplasia. Following his surgery, we will have an intense rehab and he and Dad will have to stay in the hospital for a couple of months. Due to covid restrictions nobody but his father or his mother can stay with him in the hospital. This surgery is life-changing for him. For those that do not know, SDR surgery( Selective Dorsal Rhizotomy ) is a minimally invasive spinal operation that can permanently reduce leg spasticity and encourage independent walking in children with Cerebral Palsy. Our son walks with the use of braces currently and without the surgery things will progress and get worse. He could potentially end up in a wheelchair down the road. With this surgery and a lot of hard work, our son could potentially no longer need the braces and finally walk independently . After a lot of research and prayer our family has decided to go ahead with the surgery. We are asking for help financially because Mom will be home with the newborn and all the other kids not working and Dad will be with Destin 24/7 at the hospital. This will help cover rent, bills, food, gas, etc..... If you know us you know we do our best to handle life without asking for help but at this point, we have to humble ourselves for our son and his future. We can not wait for the day that Destin can run on the playground with all the other kids.
If you are unable to give, please pray and share.
Thank You
God Bless
