Help McKenzie get to Nief Norf

My dream is to become a leading femme percussionist that inspires the next generation of female-identifying and femme-presenting percussionists to dream big and create change in the world. Nief Norf was the best Summer Festival I've experienced in my life. Something about being in the Smoky Mountains creating new and exciting music with people who aren't afraid to get a little weird inspired me beyond belief. It reminded me that my femme voice in a male industry mattered. I want to experience that feeling again but I can't without your help.
As always thank you for your time and support,
McKenzie Squires
About the festival:
Nief Norf describes itself as an ‘interdisciplinary new music intensive that brings together dozens of performers, composers, improvisers, scholars, and music technologists to collaborate on the performance, creation, and discussion of contemporary music’. The festival offers an immersive environment hosted at the state-of-the-art Natalie L. Haslam Music Center at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, and aims to encourage both appreciations for live music and support for contemporary art. Culminating with a Nief-Norf Summer Festival Marathon Concert, fellows have the opportunity to participate in numerous masterclasses, workshops, performances, and more throughout the festival.
