Destination Imagination Team Trip

Tax deductible
Friends School of Harford is pleased to announce that its middle school Destination Imagination team, the FSH Friendly Syrian Heroes have been chosen to go to the Globals Finals. These five students, led by two faculty team managers, impressed the audience and appraisers at the Maryland State DI Tournament with their powerful and artistic skit showcasing their work this year in support of the White Helmets and refugees of Syria.  The students shared a message of “peace and safety for everyone”, and raised in excess of $400 for the White Helmets, the volunteer Syrian Civil Defense, by selling their tie-dyed, bleach-dyed, and stenciled t-shirts.

This year the  Global Finals of Destination Imagination is in Knoxville, Tennessee in May.  Once there, our team will compete against teams from across the nation and from fourteen other countries, perform in front of large audiences, and share their message of peace.

Getting to Globals is expensive.  Housing, meals, and event passes for each team member cost $870.  Our goal is to raise $6090, which will allow us to send our entire team to Globals. Parent chaperones are welcome but will pay their own way.  FSH Friendly Syrian Heroes asks, with gratitude, for donations to help them reach their goal and make this experience possible. We depart for our trip in May 23rd. Thank you.
