First Annual Gatsby Fest  

On October 17, 2021, come join us as we re-enter the Roaring 20's, at Middle Neck Road and Cedar Drive, just around the corner from Gateway Drive where F. Scott Fitzgerald lived and wrote The Great Gatsby. 

As many know, The Great Gatsby was inspired by our town, a/k/a Fitzgerald’s West Egg. The setting of this iconic novel will be the backdrop as we travel back in time, celebrating the Jazz Age with music, dancing, food, and notable speakers. We also have some dazzling surprises planned that you won’t want to miss.

Destination: Great Neck was founded in 2021 with a mission to reaffirm and revitalize the Great Neck Peninsula as a gem of the North Shore. We aim to promote Great Neck as a gateway of arts and culture, from Gatsby's Jazz Age to present day. To this end, we celebrate our residents' diversity and our town’s distinctive offerings at the crossroads of the American Dream.
