My dreams are finally in the works. I have saved money over the years but I need just a bit more to officially open for business (goal is September 1st). Dessert Garden Bakery was one of the last major things I discussed with my father before passing away. He had faith in me and I am proud to be able to say I made it. I have had so much help along the way in various forms and would love to thank everyone who has supported me all these years.
The money will be used for major equipment that can get costly (commercial refrigeration/freezer, refrigerated case, kitchen grade work benches, and a larger commercial mixer) I have a store front and Kitchen and will the the feature Bakery at The Pink Hotel and Man Cave in Stone Mountain, GA. In early September I plan on having a launch/grand opening Event and will keep you posted with details.
I want this bakery to be a gathering point, something positive, and a place of community celebration. Because when do you get cakes and things for celebrations and they become a part of happy moments. And in order to accomplish that I need the tools to be able to build this the right way for everyone. I want to be able to hire people at some point, be a mentor or teach whoever wants to learn, and a happy face to see when you need it.
