In October 2018, Abigail Despi (Abi) was diagnosed with an aggressive soft tissue sarcoma (cancer of the bone and soft tissue) located in the hip. The doctor states Abi's case is metastatic, a term to describe cancer that has spread to different areas of the body from the original location. Abi and her family has recently discovered that the sarcoma has spread to her chest wall. With this being said, it is very difficult to cure her condition. She is currently undergoing chemotherapy and radiation five days a week. In the near future, Abi is planning to have surgery to remove the tumor from her hip.


Abi is 16 years old in her junior year of highschool. For a couple of months now, she has not been attending school, but is still continuing her education through home studies. Abi has the most warm-hearted, bubbly, and silly personality. She enjoys dance, KPOP, gaming, & food. She understands the value of life, friendship, and family. Throughout this whole journey, Abi has kept a positive and optimistic attitude. To anyone who has had an encounter with Abi knows that she exerts a positive force in our lives.



Both Abi's parents and older brother work multiple jobs, and have had to take time off in order to care for and be by her side. Despite what medical insurance covers with the medical expenses, they have a great amount on their plate. Knowing the Despi's ever since I was little, I can say that they are the most generous, humble, and loving family. To give back for their generosity, I am asking for your help to join me in relieving some of the stress given from all their medical expenses. All contributions will be used towards Abi's hospital costs and treatment.
