Despereaux's Eye Enucleation Procedure

We rescued Despereaux this past November at about 4 weeks old. He was found behind the kitchen of the restaurant where I (Annelliese) work, tiny and malnourished, weighing less than a soda can. His eye appeared to be infected, and was swollen shut. After a trip to the vet and eye ointment, his eye began to open and the infection started to clear up. He started gaining weight and getting stronger and healthier. However, even after treating his eye, it began to turn cloudy and enlarge. After another trip to the vet, we discovered it was glaucoma. With the pressure in his eye increasing, our vet informed us that removing the affected eye is the only treatment option. Scheduled for January 25th, his procedure will cost just over $1300. With my husband and I being impacted by COVID-19, affording this procedure is a challenge. We would be so appreciative of any assistance you can offer, large or small!
Attached below are some photos of our sweet boy Despereaux, and the estimate provided by the vet.
