Hello, beautiful humans! My name is Kelly Bridges. I come to you today with humility and gratitude. I am in need of my community’s help to raise funds for my overall health to be restored.
Nine years ago, I got silicone breast implants. I had breast fed two babies, and wasn’t feeling as confident as I once was. During this time, doctors were saying that the cohesive silicone gel was completely safe. But then random unexplainable illnesses kept arising.
Five years ago the glands under my under arms started swelling. I currently have a golf ball size knot under each under arm. From there, my health has just continued to slowly decline. I have been suffering for the past five years from a large number of symptoms that resemble breast implant illness. The symptoms started out mild and have become considerably worse the last few years.
The symptoms of breast implant illness can be different from person to person. These are the symptoms that I have experienced.
• joint pain
• inflamed lymph nodes
• chronic fatigue
• anxiety
• severe brain fog
• body rash
• headaches
• blurry eyes
• vertigo
• G.I. issues
• ringing in the ears
• stabbing chest pains
• rapid, resting heart rate
• chronic inflammation
• weight gain
• heavy, painful, long menstrual cycles
• night sweats
• frequent yeast infections
• EBV – Epstein-Barr virus
If you know me, you know it’s not easy for me to ask for help. But if I can take any stress off of my mind and body by asking for help then it’s worth it. Currently insurance does not cover this surgery. At this point in time so many women are coming forward and are working together with surgeons to change this. But unfortunately I can’t
wait for that to happen. The cost for the surgery is $20,000 out-of-pocket. Aside of my appendix rupturing last year we have already spent thousands of dollars just trying to figure out what has been going on with my body. If you could help that would be beyond amazing!
