This is my mom, Michele. In 2017 she was diagnosed as having Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD) with pulmonary fibrosis and given a prognosis of 3 to 5 years, unless she can receive a life-saving lung transplant. That was five years ago, and my mom is at the end of her prognosis. Her situation is critical, having gone through a lengthy process to become a lung transplant candidate which was greatly hindered and delayed by the covid crisis.
I’m gainfully employed, work hard, pay bills and try to do it all on my own. But now as my moms primary care-giver, I’m faced with temporary relocation expenses that are just out of my range of ability to cover. We need to have a temporary relocation plan in place for my mom’s lung transplant to be expedited. We aren’t blessed with a large family and support network; it’s just me and my mom. So, I’m asking friends, neighbors, anyone willing and able to help me give my mom her well-earned chance for life-saving medical care she desperately needs now, please consider a donation to help with necessary relocation and medical expenses, so I can provide the post- surgery care my mom will need.
