Hi everyone, my name is Ken and I’m desperately trying to help my son get back on his feet.
Everyone is struggling financially these days but on 28 March 2025 my son Matthew was so distraught over his own personal struggles with trying to secure affordable accommodations he tried to take his own life. He attempted to blow himself up in his own car. A car he was only a year away from paying off. Instead of being blown up Matt found himself in the middle of a gasoline fuelled inferno. In intense pain he fled from the vehicle and ran into the woods. By the time he put himself out he suffered second degree burns on his hands, arm, leg and face.
In his shock and shame he evaded police for 24 hours, surviving the night in -5 degree temperatures without even a jacket. At this point Matt’s will to live was stronger than his reasons to end his life. His physical wounds will heal, his mental wounds are being tended to. Sadly he only succeeded in loosing the car he worked so hard to own.
Please help Matt get back on his feet. He needs a car to get back to work once he’s medically cleared. For whatever reason, this is the number one stressor affecting him right now, closely followed by an affordable place to live!
