Hi, I'm Cori.
I can't believe where I am today. It wasn't that long ago that I had a radio show to help people with Multiple Sclerosis, Crohns Disease and Cancer. People came to me for advice. Now my own M.S. has relapsed and I find myself unable to walk or take care of myself. I have been in a wheel chair for two years! Now I'm ready to work hard on my recovery. I don't have enough income from disability to even get by until I get better. I have looked into all the avenues of help, and the waiting list for most of them is two years. I'm afraid I won't survive without some immediate help.
The last relapse lasted 3 months because I had acupuncture and Chinese herbs. To get better, I need $750 for the MRI, $75 for the neurologist, $7,200 for six months of acupuncture, $375 for the Chinese herbs, and $1,200 for living expenses for those six months that I will be in recovery. I am confident that this is what I need to get better. I am 50 years old, and I am determined to get better and live a productive life.
I would like to live independently in my beloved house. Unfortunately, there is a hole in the roof and my kitchen floor. (Could things get worse! lol) If I can get $4000 to retrofit my house, I can get historical status to help pay for the roof and floor.
I have good news too! I have an editing job waiting for me when I get better. I need $400 for a computer and laptop to do that job.
Please, help me. I want to live!
