⚠Emergency Support Needed for Delvon Lamarr & Amy
Donation protected
My name is Delvon Lamarr of the Delvon Lamarr Organ Trio, and my story is a powerful testament to love, resilience, and the incredible sacrifices made to pursue dreams. My wife, Amy Novo (aka Shortcake), has unwavering dedication to my music, and her unrelenting drive to bring healing through music is truly inspiring. But the toll it has taken on her health is undeniable, and it’s evident how much she’s given to see my collective dreams soar since 2006, when I first laid eyes on her.
Our story encapsulates the essence of passion, sacrifice, and the need for collective support. It’s a call that resonates beyond the notes of my music—it’s a plea for humanity to come together and support one who has dedicated her life to creating something beautiful for the world.
It’s heart-wrenching to see her health deteriorate due to the immense stress and strain of managing every aspect of our musical journey. Her struggles, her sacrifices—they echo a deep need for support. The urgency in her situation is palpable, and it’s clear that without help, her health and the future of the music we both cherish are at risk.
Amid our Spring tour last year, my wife & manager, Amy Novo experienced a blackout while driving, narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic. Out of concern for her well-being, I returned home to help with whatever medical condition that led to Amy’s life-threatening event. We are still in the process of determining what that is. But again, we found ourselves having to cancel an entire tour resulting in another major financial loss, similar to the pandemic.
Since Amy's accident last Spring, all of our energy and resources have gone directly toward her care and recovery. – Multiple doctors’ visits resulted in referrals to various specialists, including a cardiologist. To date, Amy has been diagnosed with multiple inhibiting conditions, including Lupus, Ulcerative Colitis, Hypoglycemia and more.
Due to previous tour cancellations from the pandemic and Amy’s critical health condition, we were forced to take out loans to cover Amy’s extensive medical bills and our general living costs. This whole process has left us almost $100,000 in debt and with few options to front the funds necessary to get us back on the road.
Though my dedication to music is unwavering and my wife’s unrelenting drive to bring healing through music remains inspiring, the toll that it has taken on Amy’s health, our finances, and our ability to tour is undeniable.
We want to get back on the road and continue playing music worldwide but need the help of our friends, family, & community!
Like many, the pandemic wiped out our income; We were unable to tour and it left us at an extreme financial loss. We did what we could to weather the pandemic and prepared for 2023 being our full return to national and international touring. But due to other unforseen and unfortunate circumstances in 2023, we encountered another financial hardship.
Now we are preparing for an incredible and extensive US and European tour schedule lined up for Spring/Summer 2024, but will need to be able to build a startup fund to cover initial costs necessary for getting around the country and across the pond. Once we get there and do what we do best — play music — we will be able to hit the ground running again.
Your generous contributions will directly aid the band in getting back out on the road, as well as ensure that Amy gets the continued and necessary medical care she requires.
“Our goal has always been to preserve the dream that we have all taken part in to build together and for the continuation of encouraging positivity on a global platform. We want to continue to help others through the creation of our music while also helping other artists accomplish their dreams as well.” - Amy Novo
