Hi my name is Desmond and I am fundraising to gain money and support for a study abroad trip to Italy this upcoming summer! I recently just was accepted to Opera Lucca, a great program that will help diversify my portfolio and give me the access to learning languages, music, and gain work experience in the opera world. As an African American in the opera industry my chances at experiencing something like this can be slim and I want to be able to achieve and experience something new and exciting. This will benefit me so much in so many different ways, but realistically it will be a dream come true to travel abroad and be the first in my family to achieve something of this nature.
