I am writing to you today to let you know about the loss of my father Desmond Webster, if you haven't already heard. He passed away at home due to various health issues. but despite all his struggles, he strived to be an active member of our community especially when it came to his cougar and bulldog homes. My father was a coach for various sports over the years at Buena, including football, basketball, and softball. At Ventura, he got his dream job as an administrator over athletics and strived to do his best for the students at both high schools. He raised 3 incredible kids including my brother Xavier, my sister Makayla, and myself alongside our mother Stephanie. He always had a goal of bettering the youth in Ventura and his peers. Helping people find jobs and creating lasting friendships. I feel like I speak for us all as a community when I say we are all devastated by the sudden hearing of his passing.
My family would like to honor his life and get together and celebrate his life and it will be held at Tony's Pizzaria, a place he frequently went for their live band events and to see his old and new friends. Especially the owner Bruce Barrios whom he grew up with and got his first job at Skating Plus. A date and time for the service will be announced when details are all worked out.
We are absolutely devastated by My dad’s passing and are hoping to find the funds to cover the cost of the service. Based on the breakdown of all factors for cost, I’ve started a fundraiser to collect donations for his funeral service.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation during this difficult time.
With love,
The Webster Family.
