• Pere Andre Wildaine is an amazing Priest and brilliant community developer I have known and worked with in Haiti the last 7 years. He has been the Vassar Haiti Project's partner in the community of Chermaitre in the mountainous Artibonite where he was pastor for 5 communities.
• Pere was instrumental in our major accomplishments: building and staffing a clinic serving the whole region, building a clean water system that all but eradicated deadly cholera and other water borne diseases; building and staffing an elementary school, developing a thriving women's cooperative; reforestation and many more sustainable programs.
• Pere has recently been reassigned to Haitian Tortuga a remote island off the Northern coast of Haiti.
• Tortuga has had no sustainable development and it's 30,000 residents struggle to provide sufficient food and the basic necessities for their families .
• While there is a school building it has barely operated for years. Wildaine has rallied the community to begin to provide teachers but there are no desks or basic materials.

This campaign is to provide desks and other supplies needed to restart education on Tortuga. Anything you are able to contribute will go directly to supplying the school.

• Our target is $6000.seems  a very big number for what we are trying to do. What few people realize, is the current conditions in Haiti have exacerbated inflation and the difficulty of getting any basic supplies to the Island .
• This money will allow us to begin Pere Wildaine' s mission to build sustainable education in this community
