Many people have asked how they can help/where they can donate so we made this gofundme. 

On April 29th my mom Desiree was walking toher car in downtown Bakersfield & was assaulted & robbed. She was left lying in the street with a broken eye socket, cheekbone, unhinged jaw & a fractured ankle. She has a long road of recovery ahead of her including multiple surgeries & doctor visits etc.. but her main focus right now is to change our locks because whoever did this has the keys to her house & car. 

Thank you to the many people who have reached out, sent their love & visited, it’s greatly appreciated & welcomed during this time. The support from the downtown community has been amazing & thank you to all businesses & friends who are trying to help catch whoever did this so we as a community will make sure something like this won’t happen again. 

Update- My mom is scheduled for surgery on Wednesday to start the process of fixing some of the damage in hopes of the rest of her face aligning on its own. After seeing a few specialists we know she will have to be patient and rest to allow her body to heal on its own for most injuries & then she may be ready for dental surgery.
