February 29,1964-March 20,2021
Clearwater, Kansas
Desiree was cradled into the loving arms of our Lord and Savior on March 20, 2021. Desiree was a wonderful woman that was deeply loved and will be dearly missed. She will forever be cherished by family and friends. She was born as the fourth child to Loren and Barbara Ward on February 29,1964 in Wichita, KS. She was a leap year baby. She was a beautiful, loving, kind and giving person. She loved people and people loved her. She was willing to help anyone if she could. She was a hard worker and always got the job done. She was the life of the party, with her silliness. She collected Indians, she liked crafting and cooking, she owned and rode a Harley Davidson at a time in her life. She also loved her rock and roll. She met her husband at Big Dog Motorcycles were they both worked for years, and then married in 2005. They were deeply in love, it was always Dez and Darrell. She loved her dogs just like they were her children. She had a big heart and strong love for her family. She is survived by her Mother Barbara Ward and Father Loren Ward, brothers Loren Ward and Derek Ward, sister Lisa Ward Haak, brother-in-law Kenny Haak and sister-in-law Diane Ward, nieces Kendra Haak, Chantel Colindres Ward and husband Martin Colindres, nephews Garrett Haak, Levi Haak and wife Kaila Haak, Gavin Ward, Edward H. Ward. She also had four great nieces Kayden, Madison, Gabby, Blakely and two great nephews Preston and Jack.
Loved ones that made a path for her to meet the Lord, proceeded by her husband Darrell Burris (March 13th, 2021), Grandparents Vernon and Margaret Wells and Ralph and Thelma Ward, and her second Father Larry Preston.
Her love will live forever in our hearts. Cremation has taken place and celebration of life services is pending.
Please consider making a donation for the services and associated expenses to help Barbara during these uncharted waters over the next few weeks.
