On February 25th, this world lost a beautiful soul. Desiree Dawn Davis was called home after losing her battle to COVID-19.
Desiree had positive impact on every person she crossed paths with in her short 43 years on this Earth. She lived for her children Lyric and Drew. Her beautiful granddaughter Addison quickly became her everything. Just when her life was getting to the best parts of her story and we all knew she still had so many chapters she hoped to write, our Lord and savior called her home.
The following words from Desiree’s family and friends can attest to just how much she was a blessing in this life:
"You will forever be missed, never forgotten and always loved."
"You were an amazing woman and a sister to us all."
"Your laugh was contagious, your smile could light up a room, but your heart, oh your heart, that was gold!"
"She had a big heart and never met a stranger in this life."
"You are loved so much, and your presence will be missed beyond measure."
“She was my best friend and second mom!”
Situations like this are not supposed to happen. Children should never have to say goodbye to their mother so soon. She had so much planned with her family and friends. Suddenly all that was taken from her and those she loved. Des met everyone with a smile, her loud boisterous and contagious laugh. She left an imprint on every heart she touched. Her smile could light up a room. Her friendship will always be a comfort to us all. While her children, her mother, and extended family are trying to mourn for this extreme loss, we are trying to lighten the burden of expense that comes with this unexpected tragedy, as nobody could be prepared for something like this. Anything helps and is appreciated more than we can express.
