Hi, my name is Shayna Gregory , and I am creating this GoFundMe on behalf of Cody Wieczorkiwicz to honor the life of Desirae Gonczy.

Desirae was in a tragic accident on December 6th who later succumbed to her injuries on December 7th 2025.

Desirae lit up every room she entered. She had a beautiful way of making people feel loved and seen, whether they were lifelong friends or the youth she mentored. She carried that love into her work with young people at Knowles Centre and River East, believing deeply in lifting others up, especially the next generation. She gave her time, patience, and heart freely, and the youth she worked with truly felt her care. Her impact will live on through them.

She loved to sing, and the dance floor never stood a chance when Desirae showed up. Her joy, laughter, and energy were unforgettable. She was deeply connected to her culture and was on a meaningful spiritual journey, especially in honoring and connecting with her mom.

Des leaves behind her two precious babies. A 2½ year old daughter and a 6 month old son. Being a mom was not just a role for Des; it was her pride, her passion, and the greatest accomplishment. Her children were her entire world, and everything she did was for them. Des had such big dreams and aspirations for her babies. She envisioned a life filled with love, stability, and endless opportunities for them. Even through life’s challenges, her focus never wavered, and her heart was always set on building a future where her children could grow, thrive, and always know how deeply they were loved.

Des also leaves behind Cody, the love of her life. They were just beginning their journey together, building the life they had always dreamed of with their children by their side. Even in this heartbreaking time, Cody is committed to carrying forward the love, values, and goals that he and Des shared for their babies, ensuring that her dreams for them continue to guide their lives
