De'Shaun Hall

Hi, my name is Apostle Edna Hathaway Lawrence, founding pastor at Good Works Community Church in Hertford, North Carolina. Recently, I've joined grandparents, Linwood and Emma Godfrey of Edenton, North Carolina in a fight to help their 25-year-old grandson, De’Shaun Hall, continue battling an incurable condition. This beautiful young man is surrounded by a circle of love and prayers of his mother, Crystal Hall, girlfriend, Sonya Lee Ochoa, and their 2-year-old son, Ali.

Please help us enlarge his circle of support as he faces an inflammatory skin disease called Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS). It produces lesions, painful bumps, and abscesses mostly in the groin area making it difficult for him to sit and walk. For several years, De’Shaun's case was misdiagnosed by numerous medical doctors. Refusing to give up, he was recently seen by a team of specialists. They diagnosed the rare condition and provided a treatment plan of surgery, skin grafting and many months of other necessary medical procedures. His lifestyle has changed tremendously, and his employment outlook is filled with many insecurities.

Our goal with this Go Fund Me is to provide financial support for De’Shaun as he fights to rest and heal. Let's show his family that he's loved beyond measure. In remembrance of his days of football, let's take a stand to cheer him on from the bleachers of his life to a victory for De’Shaun as he runs a long yard for his health!
