Hello everyone , my name is Crystal Cervantes. I am the niece of Salvador Cervantes (Chava). I am at a loss for words and truly baffled that I have to sit and type this out, never did I think my family and I would have to endure such a close and devastating loss.  My uncle wasn’t feeling his best and appeared fatigued over the past few weeks.  He was in and out of the hospital and never really given a proper diagnoses of what his body was going though. The last time he returned to the hospital he was having difficulty breathing. As days passed by he made some improvement and was breathing on his own and his oxygen levels allowed us to believe that he was slowly but surely making progress. Unfortunately, that didn’t last for long, he was then having trouble breathing again , his lungs started giving out and they no longer could function on their own, he needed to be intubated. Today, July 11,2020 we lost a dad , son, brother uncle , and friend.  He left behind a Wife (Socorro Cervantes)  and five kids, Janet, Salvador (Chavita) , Alejandro, Leandro, and Alexandria. And 3 beautiful grandchildren : Angelo , Fernanda , and Allyson.  My cousins and aunt seen him take his last breath across a glass window, his heart waited until they arrived for him to leave in peace.  Today we mourn his loss , the pain  we feel is too much for words. I pray that you all have it in your heart to donate whatever you can to help my family with funeral expenses and just ensure they are well taken care of despite loosing him. My family wasn’t prepared for this abrupt loss and we ask that you please keep us in your prayers and blanket us with strength and comfort to try to overcome this huge and unexpected loss.
