THANK YOU to everyone who contributed and kept the folks in the Des Arc community in your hearts and minds. We are in the final stages of getting all the dollars donated over to the official disaster relief fund through People’s Community Bank in Annapolis, MO. I will post another celebratory update when it’s all official and to share where you can continue to donate if you would like to. Thank you so much.

Late on Friday night, March 14, the town of Des Arc, Missouri, and surrounding areas were hit by a devastating storm. From photos, videos, and personal accounts we know there is substantial damage from downed trees, power lines, flying debris, etc.

The community is mobilizing on the ground there to help each other. For those of us who can’t be there in person, like me, I wanted to start this fundraiser. Any little bit counts. This relief fund will go directly to supporting the town and those affected—helping with cleanup, supplies, and immediate needs. My parents, Tom and Beth Schembra, will be delivering the money raised to the Des Arc fire house.
