DERWENT NETBALL X ENDOMETRIOSIS UK
This month DCNC is fundraising for Endometriosis UK! Women’s health has been ignored for too long. Endometriosis affects 1 in 10 women, yet it takes an average of 8 years to get diagnosed—years filled with pain, frustration, and being told it’s "just part of being a woman." This silence and dismissal in healthcare leaves millions suffering without proper treatment or support.
This month, we’re raising funds for Endometriosis UK, a charity fighting to change this by funding vital research, raising awareness, and pushing for better care. It’s time to challenge the stigma, ensure women’s pain is taken seriously, and demand better healthcare for all. Every donation—big or small—helps bring us closer to a world where women's health is taken seriously!
Our fundraising activities:
- On the 12th of March we had a bingo fundraiser social - raising £257!
- On the 23rd of March we'll be doing a charity netball match with Derwent football
- Last but certainly not least on the 26th of March we're doing a fun run relay race all around York in costume - we will collectively run 147km! That's the equivalent to 7 half marathons!
