As many of you know I am celebrating a big birthday this year, so to mark this milestone and challenge myself, I have decided to run the Derry Half Marathon on the Sunday 6th September.

More importantly, I am running to raise vital funds for the Donegal Hospice, an organization that is incredibly close to mine and my families hearts. The fabulous staff at the hospice took amazing care of my Dad during his final days, almost 14 years ago, bringing him and our family immense comfort, at the most heart breaking stage of his life. The work they do is absolutely priceless, and I want to use this challenge as a small way of giving back in his memory.

Thank you in advance for any contribution you are able to make to this cause that means so much not just to me and my family, but also the countless other families that they have supported over the years to provide comprehensive physical, emotional and spiritual care for individuals and families promoting the highest quality of living during life-limiting illness and bereavement.
