Derrick's surgery recovery

Dear Friends, Family and Colleagues.

I'm sorry if this is the first time you've heard about this, I can imagine the shock. If you don't already know Derrick was diagnosed with a brain tumour on the 25th of July. He was complaining of vision problems and feeling more fatigued than usual. After a visit to the ophthalmologist, he was admitted to the hospital as a matter of urgency.

The medical staff are doing all they can to reduce the swelling around his brain and take pressure off his optic nerves which is causing sight loss.

He is scheduled for brain surgery on Tuesday 9th August.

Those who know Derrick, know he is passionate about boxing and computers and I can't imagine a life for him where he can no longer enjoy them.

For those who would like to contribute, I am fundraising for Derrick's recovery medical supplies at home and to help with financial needs while he is recovering and unable to work. Even a small amount will go a long way to helping his recovery from this life-changing surgery.

All that said, please continue to send prayers, positive energy and the love you have for Derrick to get him through this difficult time.
