Derrick's Medical exspenses

Hello everyone,

Just want to give a full updated summary on everything going on with me father and what we know. Which is actually nothing. After three surgeries, two stints and the removal of his Galbladdar my dad is not getting any better. They now have him on a feeding Tube and he will be on this for a minimum of two weeks. He has to be on this to gain some weight and nutrition back before they can continue tests and things, so we are at a halt for any progress for now. They are still not convinced it’s not cancer but for now we stay optimistic. He does have a form of pancreatitis but there is more to it. 

We don’t know when he’ll be able to go back to work or when this will end.

Again anything helps.

Another update: 11/16/2022

Final result is it is cancer… they aren’t sure what kind yet but it’s looking like pancreas due to where the tumor(mass) is. 

A biopsy was sent to the University of Pennsylvania and will be back with results….. soon Hopefully. But, in the end…. It is cancer.

Update: 01/12/23

My dad was sent to moffit they did their own biopsy after the one from U-Penn still has over a month later has yet to come back. Officially the full diagnosis is Pancreatic cancer. This is just the real beginning of the long road ahead…. We made this GoFund me in August after my dad was hospitalized in July….. we now in January have a full diagnosis it took 6 months just to get this….. 6 months of no income no work, nothing. No improvements just nothing. We’re hopeful for the future but with my dad being let go of his job they still have no insurance. its Gonna be a long rough road. Thank you for anything anyone can give.
