On September 19, 2025, our world was shook and turned upside down when Derrick Sochacki, a 28-year-old father of two (and loving father figure to a third), was involved in a devastating accident. Since that day, Derrick has been in the ICU, still fighting for his life with incredible strength and resilience.
Derrick is a hardworking plumber, the kind of person everyone can count on — the guy you call when your car won’t start or your pipes give out, and the neighbor who throws big Fourth of July parties with fireworks for the whole block. He’s the dad who teaches his kids by showing them how to turn a wrench in the garage, not just by reading from a book. He has always been the first to show up when someone else needed help — now he and his children need our help.
The costs of Derrick’s care and the long road of recovery ahead will go far beyond what insurance can cover. We are raising funds to help with medical expenses, provide stability for his children, and give this hardworking young dad the chance to heal and come back to them.
If you’ve ever known Derrick, you know he never hesitated to step up for others. Now it’s our turn to step up for him.
Please consider donating to support Derrick’s fight and sharing this fundraiser with others. Every contribution, no matter the size, brings his family one step closer to stability and hope in the face of this unimaginable challenge.
