With a heavy heart, on behalf of his family, I let you know that Derric Williams passed away on August 10. He was involved in a head-on collision that took his life. His wife Cheyenne was thrown from the vehicle and is in the hospital with a broken neck. Two of their children were also injured. Cheyenne and her children are expected to recover. Derric and Cheyenne have four beautiful children: Aiyanna (12), Zakiyah (7), Aniyah (3) and Niko (1). He also leaves behind his mother and father and eleven siblings.

Derric was one of my late son Nate's best friends and was so faithful to regularly call and check on us because he said, "that's what Nate would want him to do." He was a wonderful father and the love of Cheyenne's life.
