Deron Riviello's Road to Recovery

Donation protected
On September 19th, Deron was driving to Taco Bell for the return of the Mexican Pizza and was in a traffic accident where paramedics were able to revive him on the scene. He suffered a Grade 3 Axonal Brain Injury, was paralyzed on the right side, 11 bilateral broken ribs, a broken sternum, and collapsed lung. He has advanced from a feeding tube to puree to a soft diet. Thanks to everyone for your outpouring of kindness, prayers, and tremendous support for Deron. We are blessed and thankful to announce that he has been accepted to Shepherd's Center in Atlanta for rehab. This is AWESOME but does present the need for additional financial resources. Deron was self-employed, and the care will be a financial obstacle course. We have no idea how much time he will need to recover, heal, relearn and rebuild life skills, nor what his new "normal" will look like, the need for home accommodations after his therapy, etc. For now, Jennifer, his love of many years and common-law wife, has taken a non-paid leave from work so she can remain by his side. Her presence is crucial to his mental therapy as he becomes very agitated when she is away. We ask that you please continue to pray for Deron and his continued progress. We see God's hand in each baby step forward. He is defying all the odds stacked against him! He has some difficult days ahead, BUT we also know that God makes the way where there seems to be no way! Thank you to each of you for being part of Team Deron, and in true Deron form, we are "betting on you Deron! It's Game Time! Let's Play Ball!" We know you are "in it to Win it!"
