Hey everyone,
My name is Derion Williams, I’m 16 years old, and I’m a wrestler chasing a big dream — competing at the Fargo National Tournament this summer. It's an opportunity I honestly didn't think I'd get, especially after the season I've had.
This past season was incredibly challenging for me. I went through two knee surgeries and one eye surgery, and there were times I truly believed my wrestling season was over before it even began. It was a long road of recovery, both physically and emotionally. But with a lot of hard work and determination, I was able to return to the mat at the very end of the season. I wasn't expecting much, just hoping to compete, and then, miraculously, I qualified for Fargo.
Now I have this incredible chance to compete on one of the biggest stages in the country. More than just wrestling, it's about proving to myself what's possible after overcoming so much. I would be so grateful for the opportunity to go out there and do what I love — have fun, compete hard, and, of course, throw some people!
The reality is, the costs for travel, lodging, and tournament fees add up quickly, and it's a significant financial hurdle. That's why I'm reaching out and humbly asking for your support. Every single donation, no matter how small, truly makes a difference and gets me closer to stepping onto that mat in Fargo.
Thank you so much for believing in me and for supporting me on this journey. It means the world to me.
