Derik needs help

Hi, My name is Jill: I am starting this GoFundMe for my best friend Derik. Derik is a fantastic guy who is always willing to help others no matter the cost. He is the one you could call if you were stranded, the one who would give you a couch to sleep on if you had nowhere else to go, and the guy who would give you his last $5. He has a huge heart. Recently Derik went to the hospital to get checked out for a sinus infection; upon further examination, Derik was diagnosed with a rare form of Leukemia. Today he is starting Chemotherapy at the Cleveland Clinic and is expected to be residing in the hospital for a few months. While in the hospital, he will be unable to work and unable to pay for his bills. I don't want Derik to focus on financial burdens or the fear of the growing hospital bills; I want him to focus on beating this thing and getting back be being a dad to his 8-year-old son.
