Derg Parish Church, Castlederg are building a new community centre in the heart of the town.
This GoFundMe page will help gather donations for the new Derg Parish Centre, with the main fundraising attempt being a climb of Ben Nevis, which is the largest mountain on the British Isles.
A team of approximately 20 will make the trip to Ben Nevis in August, with training well under way.
The hike will take place on the 15th August 2026, which represents a significant date to the Finlay family.

Our very own Canon Peter Ferguson is running the Mourne Way Marathon on 6th June as part of his preparation for Ben Nevis, and Canon Ferguson aims to fundraise via the Mourne Way Marathon as contribution to our great cause.
