Derek's Rehab: Home Adjustments for His Return
Donation protected
My name is Roxanne Tadlock. I am raising funds on behalf of my fiancé, Derek Frazer, and our family.
On January 31, 2025, Derek suffered a tragic fall at work. He broke his lower back, crushing his spinal cord, suffered a broken hip, and broke and dislocated his shoulder. After two major surgeries to fix his back and his leg, he spent two weeks in the ICU. He was then transferred to Spokane for spinal rehab and is soon on his way to a transitional care facility until he can come home. He has two girls, 3 and 13, waiting for daddy to come home, but he cannot come home until our place is deemed acceptable for his needs.
While medical expenses are covered for now, we are both unable to work for the foreseeable future. On top of this, there are many changes that need to be made around our home to make it accessible for him, including furniture that is not covered. There is also a small chance that, should we not be able to make the necessary changes, he cannot come home until we find acceptable ADA housing. This means packing up and moving, causing our monthly bills to increase. All funds will go toward paying our monthly bills and getting items such as an adjustable bed and living room furniture that is more wheelchair friendly, as well as creating a room for the toddler so that her things are out of our living room and bedroom so that Derek can more freely move around.
If you’ve read this far, we appreciate you all and anything you are able to donate to help us reach our goals and stay afloat during this time.
