Derek's Cancer Fight

Tragedy struck our family this year in the form of cancer. My husband Derek has been diagnosed with stage 4 Lymphoma (which is a cancer of the lymph nodes). While the doctors are thankfully optimistic that he will pull through, unfortunately we still need help paying for the treatments.
In almost 10 years of marriage, I can't recall Derek ever getting sick. But, we had a cold go through the office last January, and Derek got sick. He had a cough that lingered for a few weeks, and the first doctor thought he was fighting off a virus but the cough persisted. He visited a second doctor, who ordered a chest x-ray. That's when we learned of the mass pressing on his throat and both lungs. We were told not to worry, probably just swollen lymph nodes. In roughly three weeks, the diagnosis went from probably swollen lymph nodes to probably Hodgkin's Lymphoma. It was quite a shock to us.
Thankfully, even at stage 4, Hodgkin's Lymphoma is treatable. Derek has started a treatment of 6 months of chemotherapy, one treatment every other week.
Normally, we try to handle things on our own, leaning on each other, but in this case, the medical bills have become a bit too much. We greatly appreciate all the love and prayers we have gotten from our friends, family and co-workers and while we hate to ask, any support you can give, whether emotional or financial, is greatly appreciated. We are blessed to have each of you in our lives! Thanks in advance!
